Condylactis gigantea

After a suggestion that this may be what my anemone is (now confirmed it is deffinately). I did some reading about them. All three papers i read talked about how C. gigantia is the most common atlantic anemone to have symbiotic relationships with other animals. Now i know that there is no clowns in the atlantic, and i know condys tend ti be hit or miss with hosting clowns, but i wanted to ask here and see if anyone has any experience with attempting to have these hosted. It would seem to me that if they host cleaner shrimp,small wrasses, among others with the proper aclimation it wouldn't be to much of a problem. I do not want to subject the anemone or any fish with an overly stressfull situation but in truth the whole idea of the SWT only made it past the GF because clowns are "so darned cute". She is begining to try to flex her veto power to evict the anemone for one that is clown friendly. Now if anyone has any experience with these i could really use some info to try to hold off the dogs so my little friend can stay. That or the woman has to go.

I have a purple tip condy anemone that is currently being hosted by a pair of maroon clowns. I was told the same thing, that its not natural for those two, but mine are doing great.
Just to give you a little rundown, I first had my maroon clown at about 2 inches, then I added a condy anemone. He quickly started hosting it. well, its been about 2 years that they have been together, the clown got fairly big now and really takes care of the anemone. Also, for the last few months she has been starting to really stir up sand around the anemone, so I figured I would try to pair up the clown, so I got a very small male for her. Right away they paired up and they are both now hosting the condy and not letting anybody within a few inches of it. Its really fun to watch and amazing the relationship between the pair of clowns and the condy.

how many gallons is youre tank, and do you have metal halide??
