connecting fuge tank

I am almost ready to connect fuge tank to my main tank. i have some questions i know some of you can help me on... i wanted to use my eheim filter in the process... since the filter already pulls water out of the main tank, i wanted to put the return (spraybar) into the fuge.. from there, just put in a powerhead pump to push the water back up to the tank... seem ok? I need a pump (internal) strong enough to push it like 4 feet.. any suggestions? I know rio's aren't the best...the one on my bakpak skimmer just took a dump!.. so which brand should i use?
the other qustion: I just added calupra to my fuge yesterday... and some more lr, is it ok to hook it up to my tank already..?
thanks in advance

Most people on this board like the MAG pumps maybe you should check them out Personally I have a rio pump no problems yet (Knocking on wood):D
Your Budget and preference will play a big role in your decision

If you're planning to place the refugium down under the display tank .... most would agree that you can NOT use two separate pumps in the manner that you speak.
They will not be pumping at the same rate - and you'll either end up with a flooded display tank and dry refugium OR a flooded refugium. Something will flood - eventually.
Having the one pump (filter) removing water from the display tank and dumping it into the fuge, and then hoping that a separate powerhead down below in the fuge will "push" back the same exact amount of water as removed by the eheim - is often thought of as a solution ..... but I'm afraid that it will not work.
This is why people use one return pump and one overflow, or rely on a gravity feed unit ( still just uses one return pump ).
Unfortuanatley I thinkk you should reconsider plumbing up your refugium that way.
It may be possible to still utilize your eheim in your plan - but we'd have to look into the model and how it works.
