connecting skimmer to sump

you can put it in yhe sump with its own pump or plumb it into your main pump.
What kind of skimmer is it and what kind of pump are you using?

i don't have the skimmer yet, i just need to know what line do i connect the skimmer to. I made my own wet/dry. The sump is has one line that delivers the water and the other on the other side shoots the water back into the tank via a aqua clear 802.

a berlin classic requires about 7x7 in of sump space you hook it to a pump and let it return to the sump then your pump returns to the tank, you
just kind of let a skimmer recirulate water in your sump it does not skim all the water but it
gets alot of it.
