I really want one but not sure where i might find one any ideas
These guys are rare, seasonal, and $$$$. Check a few major online dealers and get on the waiting list. I've never seen one in a lfs; if you do, I doubt if they know what they have.

any ideas on dealers i might check?? and how much am i looking at spending??
I remember seeing a very small, and rare one at an online dealer for almost $4,000. Adults shouldn't be as pricey, but very, very expensive. PM me and I'll suggest a place. Please include e-mail...I want to stick with forum rules. PS: I just checked and found one that recently sold for $1600.

Right now the 2-4" specimens are going for 2900+. The 5-8" specimens are going for 1500-1900.
They are readily available.

You can also google it. Use the scientific name (Chaetodontoplus conspicillatus); I think this fish has a few color varieties and common names. I think they all come from a very small part of the GBR off Australia and New Caladonia....that helps explain the high price. On the plus side; Australian fish are very well captured and handled. I've seen a few of these up close, but never owned one...they are truly magnificent!
I see ccampbell 57 just posted...he really knows the market on these rare angels.

I see your in delaware. If your up for a drive head into NJ or contact Absolutely Fish. They have one currently and get them in more often then you would think. They ask $2500 i think. They also wont sell it to you untill its eating and healthy. Great place. Ask for Glen!

i have a large tank just need the fish:)
Your profile could quite easily be out-dated, but a 72g tank that already houses 3 tangs wont be suitable for a conspic (or any large angel species really). Ideally, youd want something 3-4 times that...I dont mean to criticize, it would just be a shame to have a $3000 angel die on you.
