controlling temperature?

I have a 7 gallon bow tank and have found that the temperature swings a little in my tank I believe because my home temp. changes quite a bit. (no help from Indiana weather)
I have a marineland 50watt neptune heater now. Is there a better heater I should use?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't adding a chiller to the tank help keep the temperature more stable?

It's really a question of if you are concerned enough to invest in it.
