hes super extended because I broke a set of lights when moving so he's not getting enough light, also its replacement time for the set I have, looks cool but not a good thing, I dont think it will be detrimental in the long run because the new lights are on their way.

Interesting I didn't know that clams shouldn't be that open. That feather duster is pretty cool too.

yeah you can see mostly to the left side its holding itself as flat as possible to gather as much light as possible. usually they are moderatly open and more ruffled looking. overextension is usually a sign of not enough light, and can be detrimental long term if the situation is not corrected, it wont hurt it to go a week or two like this I'm supplementing with planktonic foods while I wait for my new lights.
