Cool tank Pic

Here is a pic of the 2 fish I caught, mounted above my tank,
Thats a 210 gallon tank you see looks small against the wall
and compared to a 9 1/2 foot 750lb Atlantic Blue marlin,
The other is a 75 lb 12oz Mahi Mahi , 77lbs10oz is fla record,
yes both are replicas, marlin was released, Mahi was consumed,

its hard to see but, thats a congo african grey,out of the picture are 2 more cages, a bue and gold macaw, and a double yellow head amazon, they love to watch the tank

african grey's are supposed to be great talkers, do they say anything? what about the macaw's?

Yes they all talk, the birds not the fish;) my amazon can sing full songs, the grey is the smartest, the macaw can say a few words ,sentences and is the loudest

nice. you got any pictures of the birds? or any closer up of your fish? my tank is a little smaller than yours so maybe you can give me an idea.

nice tank, what types of fish do you have in it?
i live in roslyn, very close to east meadow.
east meadow is the home of
24 hour krispy kreme
and
hooters.
i always go there after islander games.
im sure you know where roslyn is. it's like 5-10 min car ride from east meadow. i live right near the americana. where willis avenue and northern blvd meet. you know where that is?

Yes, I lived a few blocks from hooters, I have in my tank,
some damsels, a pair perc clowns, a yellow tang,
a foxface lo, royal gramma,and a flame angel,
ever go to parrots of the world on sunrise hwy, in Rockville Centre? he has salt water fish too, a few years ago he had a large lemon shark in a tank that they fed squid, very cool:eek:

man mahi mahi have got to be one of the weirdest looking fish, but verrrrrry tasty!:D ;) :D

nah, never been there. will check it out sometime though. i have been to reefs and rivers in mineola on jericho turnpike(i think, either jericho or hillside ave). i also have been to fish town usa in flushing on northern blvd, right before francis lewis blvd.

I grew up in queens,in Flushing, That Fish town USA has been there as long as I can rember, many years

yeah. they have a pretty good selection and they always bargain their prices. i love bargaining. you know where roslyn is?

yes I know Roslyn, Little Neck is further east than flushing, I lived on the Flushing, Whitestone border

can you tell me more about the congo african grey.. i have been wanting to get one for a while. are they easy to care for? do they make alot of noise? thanks for any help..:)

parrots are like 3 year olds that never grow up, they are not a pet to put in a cage on display, they need interaction, on a daily basis, the feeding and cleaning is the easy part, they want to socialize so if you cannot devote time to a grey or any other parrot ,I dont recomend them, also they are not for young children that may get bored too quick, time and patience is the key, if you have any other parrot questions email plum70rt@aol.com
