i was at a lfs yesterday looking at the fish and there was this trigger there too big for my tank and cost 125 dollars but man was i tempted. he was swimming back and forth looked like he was biting at the glass so i said to the owner he looks really mean would scare me to own him and he said no he is the best fish. he put his hand in the tank cupped the fish real gentle the fish sat in his hand and let him rub its head.he was petting the fish it was so cool. he said you can only do this with this type of trigger and only when they get to be the size of the one he had. i cant remember the kind of trigger it was does anyone know i want to do a search on them.

Probably a Humu Picasso...that's what I have and I can do that with him. He is about 2-3" long and is such a sweetheart. When he seems me come in the room he gets all excited and swims back and forth in the front of the tank. he makes this "barking" sound when I walk away from him -- I have read they do this when distressed, but I am sure he is completelly sad to watch me go. He also spits water at me when I open the cover to feed him -- this is suppsoed to be a sign of happienss. He eats right out of my had and lets me pet him and hold him. At first I was freaked out by this behavior (I inherited this fish, so I had no idea about his peculiar little personality) but now I love it!
Sadly, I must find my Trigger a new home....he has outgrown my 36gal. He is my funniest, most personable fish. He truly acts like a puppy.
I was curious if anyone has aggressive tanks w/ more than one trigger and what kinds of fish/varieties you have in them? What pairs well with Triggers? Show Pics? :cheer:

Well what did it look like? There was no description except the way he acted, and no one can go off that. Maybe draw a picture?

Wow, if I tried petting my trigger he would start try ripping up my hand, but then again, I have a 6 inch Niger, see my avitar. He is beautiful, but he is a beast.

was it a queen? I mean, I have never seen a queen that was friendly but that is one of the only ones that I can imagine for $125 and being nasty against the tank like that. I have never seen a Humu Humu for that much, and clowns are not usually that expensive either.

maybe a crosshatch trigger? Blue throat, assissi, niger and these are ment to be the most docile if I am correct!
