Cooling Canopy

I have two 250 watt MH, and a 6 bulb T5 system inside my canopy, and I've been thinking of inexpensive ways to cool it. I have a closet that adjacent to the wall my aquarium is on, so I'm debating on having an HVAC tech come out, and add an air conditioning vent to the backside of my aquarium running inside that closet. This should blow a heck of a lot more air into my canopy than any 3" fan.
What do you guys think?

That idea doesnt sound in-expencive to me. HAving a tech come out and do work on your house isnt exactly cheap.
I did see a guy with an interesting way of cooling his MH's.
He had a 4" air duct(the metal kind you see often attached to dryers, and kitchen appliances that lead outside). It was attached to his hood, that duct led to a fan that created a suction. It pulled air directly out of his MH hood, and blew it against the back wall of his aquarium room(this kept it warm in the winter). In the summer, he directs the outlet outside to keep the room cool.
Needless to say, I stuck my hand underneath, and was blown away at how much cooler it was vs. my MH setup w/out a fan. It was warm, but only a fraction of what it owuld normaly be.
