Cooling my tank

I have a 30gallon tank that is mounted in the wall of my home, the back of the tank is in the garage and the temps in their are getting quite hot.My water temp is now fluctuating between 28-30 degrees c.I have only just started my tank back up after a couple of years away from the marine setup. My tank is cycling at the moment with live rock.I am thinking of putting an evaporative cooler in the garage blowing on the tank to try and get the temp down.I will get a chiller if I really have to,but I just wanted to know if anyone else has tried cooling thair tanks with fans and had any success.
I live on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia so it gets HOT.

I actually have never needed a chillir since i live near New York in the US but I just wanted to warn you if you use a that style to chill yer tank your going to be cycling through a ton of water. Basically for a 30 gallon tank you might be evaporating a lot of water, so much that you need to make sure when you replace your water you need to make sure your measurements are good.
What do you think you're gonna put in this tank? Also, I would advise that you create a large sump in your garage increasing your total amount of water in your tank.
