copper based medication

hi beth....i am still trying to figure out the pacement of my QT (50gl) at my place and was thinking of actually making it my coral tank with inverts and no fish. I would then make my main tank a FOWLR....
I know copper kills inverts, and i may not be able to get every snail and crab, but i will take as many as i can out and put them in the coral tank.
Could i use a copper based solution on a FOWLR tank without killing the LR and DSB?

Hey, if you asking for my vote, I vote for making it a QT rather than another display! I was looking forward to see a 50 gal QT go up at SWF.com! :)
The copper leaching thing is a real variable. Copper leaching could be a real problem, even for LR and LS, or it may be ok. I wouldn't use it as a coral tank.

ahh.. i forgot about the copper leaching... that would not be good because i would eventually want to use the tank for a reef....... although my powder tang died (today :() i am still putting up the QT... but want to make it a nice one since it will be a display as well....
