Using copper to treat ick, When do I start my 15-20 days of treatment, after it falls off the fish or right when I dose the tank the first time?

Do you have the fish in a hospital tank? You can't dose with cooper in the main tank.
Count day one as the first dose. You will need a copper test kit to be sure to maintain theraputic levels of the medication.
That said, hyposalinity is the better choice for treating ich.
