Hi Guys,
Heard about this fish for eating apstasia (yum yum). Tried Ca, hot water, cant get peppermint shrimps this side of the atlantic so i thought this might be the best idea? What does everyone think of that? Any success stories?
Thanks,
Tim.

they are great for this, but the down side of these fish is that
they are not really concered reef safe, and they are hard to
get to started eating, but of course there are people that
have kept them and everthing worked out for the best.

I agree with the above. Copperbands are not a good choice for the sole purpose of eating Aiptasia. They're extremely delicate fish.
I would re-try the Calcium Hydroxide. If you mix it into a thick paste and slowely blast the center of the Aiptasia, it should die within minutes or possibly sooner. If they're large enough, you could pick them out with tweezers, but often times this takes time.

hmmmm ok the only reason i would be getting it really is to kill apstasia. I dont know what to do anymore. When i blast it with hot water it goes everywhere and multiplies. The calcium hasnt worked and I am conscious of my Ca levels.
Any more ideas?
