I am currently treating my Yellow tang in a 5 1/2 gal. HT. I'm using coppersafe to get rid of the ick, how long should i use it for? Oh and BTW there are almost clear spots around his eyes, is this part of the ick? He is doing fine swiming normally. he's pretty small so he does quite well in that tank. To do a water change I tank water from the main tank and throw the old water away. Thanx 4 the help! :)

You should run it at least 2 weeks but follow the instructions. I always liked Seacure copper better before hyposalinity came along. I would not recommend changing your qt water with tank water. You run the chance of introducing ick that has not been treated.

I to am a fan of SeaCure Copper. In all the times I have had to use it never once did it not do the job. I have never had a fish react badly to it and it has been easy to test it for the right .15 concentration with a red sea test kit.
