We just got the Coralife Super Skimmer 125 about 1 week ago. We had to get our LFS guy in yesterday cause we were having troulble with too many micro-bubbles! He made some adjustments and it seems to be working better now. However ask me in about a month, then I can give you a better update. It do seem to be skimming excellent though! Lots of dry ugly foam!

I have had my 220 super skimmer for about 6 months. I think that it works very well but you do have to watch the adjustment if you have any fluctuation from evaporation like I do.

I also think it is a very good skimmer and hard to beat for the price. Mine has been working perfectly without the need of daily fiddling around........Just do not pay attention to installation instructions when setting it up in regards to distance pump is to be under the surface and the postion and depth of outflow tube....and it'll be just fine.
Raise pump up to 1 1/2 to 2 inches max below water surface, keep outflow tube at or above water surface and get rid of bubble diffuser box and use a foam sleeve typical of the sleeves found on the intakes of mag drive pumps, and simply slip it over the outflow tubes end with some under water and the rest above water but especially the tube portion at or above water level.....Keep bubbles in the reaction chamber lower than the funnel portion of collection cup (about 1 to 1.5" above red cup retaining ring. Allow it to break in for a few days or a week, and make any adjustments to the red adjustment knob a little at a time until you find the sweet spot. After its broke in and fully adjusted you can fine tune it to work optimally with regards to your tanks evaporaton level etc and strike a happy medium. IMNSHO, its one of the best skimmers and bang for the buck in its price range and does what higher priced skimmers do just as well but cheaper.

I have the 125 seriers, and it works great. the problem with the micro bubbles goes away after a few hours up to a few days. It is just getting broken in, also if you add a chemical to your water for example, a slim coat protector or bacteria builder, the skimmer will creat micro bubles till it is out of water. I paid about 100 bucks for the 125 series.
