Pretty much nothing should be touching in your tank except identical species of corals. Even closely related species can irritate each other even if they don't outright sting one another.
However, your tank will eventually get to a point duing maturity where you either have to frag stuff or just let nature take its course. The latter option makes for a very lovely natural-looking reef.
