coral banded cleaner?

I know this sounds strange, but has anyone ever seen their coral banded shrimp acting like a cleaner? My husband and I both saw my csb "cleaning" my valentini puffer yesterday! There was no sign of aggression on either part - I have had both of them for a long time. Were we seeing things?

Thanks for the info. I got all of my fish before I found this board, so I have a few co-inhabitants that I would never had bought, had I known better. But they all seem to be very happy and healthy - I have never seen any parasites myself. Perhaps the valentini never snacked on the csb because the csb is pretty big. If anything, I was worried that the shrimp might start nipping at my fish.

Baron,
I'm sorry for your loss. Here in CT, I worry more about the heat waves in the summer than the cold in the winter - unless we lose power in a storm. I've been very lucky so far. My puffer is really cool - he has a lot of character.

No Navy/EB, I work at the OTHER employer here - I'm a scientist at Pfizer doing cancer research. I've been here since late 1987. I really do like the area, I was lucky to find a house near the beach. Of course, this time of year, Houston sounds a bit more attractive . . .

Well, I did grow up in CT so I'm used to waiting 8 months for 4 months of nice weather (hey, winter is for not having to keep up that bikini-bod all year). I loved Tucson while I lived there (grad school), but couldn't get over the lack of green and water. My mom is from Texas (Ranger) so I do have some Western blood in me. I would love to take some pics of my tank, but I don't have a digital camera yet, nor is there much to take pics of yet. I started up a new 55 with dsb/LR and have slowly been moving everyone over from my 45 FO with cc. I am really enjoying seeing "things" pop out of my LR
