Coral Banded or not?

Hey all,
I have a ten gallon with a skilter and biowheel. Have a sebae clown and a purple/yellow pseudo. I want to add coral banded shrimp but the guy at the lfs advised me not to saying they are very aggressive and would eventually kill my fish. Any merit to this statement?

A ten gallon is kinda small and the bio load would get pretty heavy with three depening on there size. You have to also take into consideration that in a setup that small the competition for space, food, and dominance will be a little more intense and fierce as oppose to a 100 gal tank. I'm not saying you can't do but just think it over.

in a ten gall you have to seriously start thinking about over crowding. i have a pair of CB's and they dominate my 135. they do not "really" bother anyone but everything in the tank gets out of their way.

I have a coral banded in my 120. Moved her in from my 55. She has this one rock that she hangs on all the time. The fish all know she's there so they usually just swim around her. My Hippo tang however, likes to screw with the CB and touch her antennas ... <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />
I would like to buy her a mate. Is there any way of telling males and females apart?
BTW I know she's a female since she was carrying eggs when i got her.

I have a CB. She's cool. Stays behind a particular rock too. But it never seemed like she went after my fish. My fish have touched the antennai too and nothing happend. Mine is in a 25G. I know one time, a piece of mysis fell into my sabae anemone before the shrimp got any, she ran over there and tried to get it out. It was funny.

I would be cautious in a ten gallon, but love the bcs. I have one who is pretty passive most the time. Though at times it has been more than aggresive. Once they have some size on them they can put a hurtin' on some fish. I watched one take a little false perc out.
