Coral Banded Shrimp w/missing leg

My coral banded shrimp lost one of his legs...which I was told is okay, because he will grow one back...
On one of his sides he has a black mark..almost as if a child had taken a marker and drew a squiggly circle on him. He is eating fine, walking around fine..etc The black mark is on th eopposite side as his missing leg..anyone have any ideas?

Mine lost his main claw in a one sided fight(more like a shrimp buffet) but grew it back within a month. I never noticed any form of black marking on him at all. Maybe wait and see is the way to go. Sorry for the lack of help...but I figured you would appreciate at a response. Of course you could try "reef tank" forum...there are a lot of people there, one of whom may have had your experience.

i had a large (quarter size) hermit crab lose all his arms and legs to a bigger guy, since then he's grown them all back.

At the time he was the only one in the tank besides fish
The black seems to have spread and he isnt doing well at all. Hes sitting at the bottom all tangled up in his legs
I dont think he will make it much longer.
