Coral Banded Shrimp

I just bought a coral banded shrimp and after being in the tank for less than an hour I noticed his pinchers were missing and the naussarious obsoletas snails were sucking on them. Is it possible that the snails tore them off or is there a better observation.

the claws will fall off if he gets stressed out also they'll come off if a fish is trying to attack him or is your trying to net him, dont worry they'll grow back when he molts

How long does it take for him to molt? How does he go about eatting if he has no claws?

they molt at different times when i had a CBS he would molt once every 4 months, now that i got some skunk cleaner shrimp they molt about every 2 months well at least one of them does, also he doesnt use those claws to eat they're mainly for defense, he has a smaller claws which he uses to grab food

I T-Totally agree with joker on this.
They are in all aspects the same as a freshwater crawdad but they live in saltwater. "there bodie builds and such"
