They are mostly nocturnal, wait till the light come out in the evening and you will see him scrounging around!

They tend to be more into staying out of sight. They are a little more shy than other types and they sometimes can get tempramental. Watch him around other things in your tank.

They are night walkers. IF you have a reef tank, about 1 to 2 hours after the lights go out, look at all your corals and inverts. Most corals make a transitional look from day to night and extend the polyps out to catch free swimming food. You can also take a flash light to the top of the water after the hours are out for a while and see all the zooplankton thats live, swim to the light. And your coral banded will be crawling around at night.

Mine has plenty of hiding places but has one spot close to my skimmer where he sits all day long. He is always visable. I have had him a couple of months. Maybe because he is in a cavish area he thinks he is hidden?

Mine hangs upside down from caves I make for him all day and wanders at night, except he always comes out for food or to give chase to any fish that comes too close, really lazy chase though, he usually shakes his claws and gives up.
