Coral Beauty and Xenia

I think I read somewhere about someone's Coral Beauty nipping at their Xenias. That got me to thinking.
I have had success with several corals, but never with Xenias. While they flourish for many (almost like a weed), I can never get them to propser or even maintain.
Could it be that my Coral Beauty is the culprit? I don't see it nipping at other corals, but perhaps the Xenia is a different story?

My daughter has a 150 tank full of Xenia, it grows like wild weeds for her.
I have never been able to get it to grow, I can't even keep it alive lol
It grows on the rocks the sand, glass & the filter tubes for her, I've seen it on her snails growing. I think it's very pretty, hides the rocks. She cuts a lot of hers, it takes over everything..

Xenia is strange. Some people can't get it to grow at all. Some people can't remove it fast enough. Some people move it from their DT to a frag tank and it melts. Low maintenance, poor husbandry or pristine water seems to make no difference. I have no answer as to why, but xenia is just that way. When someone asks me why their xenia died, I reply "because it's xenia."
