Coral Beauty not eating

Hi,
I have a 65 gallon FO tank that finished cycling around 2 weeks ago. Sat., 6 days ago, I put in a chalk bass and a coral beauty. I tried feeding 1/2 cube of frozen formula 2 for 3 days, but coral beauty didn't eat and chalk bass started eating on 3rd night. I then bought live brine shrimp; bass eats great every night, but coral hasn't eaten yet, just picks at the brown algae all over the tank. Coral has a little white mark below mouth and is very active (swimming around a lot). What should I do to try and get my coral beauty to eat?
Since the addition I had a little nitrite so I did a little water change. Yesterday I had a little ammonia and almost no nitrite so I cleaned my gravel tonight and did about a 20% water change.
Please help, I don't know what to do...thanks!

People jump down my throat when I say this but pygmy angels should only be kept in mature tanks - 6 months or older - with live rock. They are constant grazers in the wild. They need their algae! Try some Seaweed Selects or Nori sheets rubberbanded to a rock or use a lettuce clip. Is Spirulina enriched brine shrimp available at your lsf? Try that too. Is anything harrassing it? You shouldn't have any/b] ammonia or nitrites in a completely cycled tank. This could be affecting it also. Are you sure the tank was cycled??

Well, try to keep your levels where they should be,definately. As far as the coral b,get some seaweed selects and any other greens you can find.Angels love greens. My cb likes these cubes that are called emerald entree.(frozen of course)Get a lettuce clip and try that seaweed.HTH

My coral beauty didn't eat for 10 days after I got him. I tried brine shrimp, veg flakes and regular flakes and nothing worked, all he would do was pick at the brown algae also. Then on day 11 he started eating like there was no tomorrow. Guess he wasn't hungry or not used to his new home yet. :)

Some fish like angels may take up to 7 or more days to acclimate. Try Formula 2, my Flame wouldn't eat until I put this in. It comes in big pieces as flakes, so I crumbled them to fit about his mouth size and he finally ate.

My lfs told me that my tank was done cycling. It had 4 yellow tailed damsels in it for about 7 weeks. At 7 weeks I had 0 ammonia, 0 nitites, and 0 nitrates.
I am still getting diatoms though, but they said that could be caused by phosphates or the light bulb (if I have a bad one)...
What do you think?
