hi, i have a 75 gal fowlr setup with cc base, 2 emperor 400 filters and 2 maxi jet ph. tank has cycled, amonia 0,nitrite 0, nitrate 10,salanity 1.021 and i maintain a 77 deg. temp, ph 8.2. i put in a blue damsel and a tomato clown to help cycle the tank, both are doing great after 5 weeks! yesterday i picked up a coral beauty that i had ordered from my lfs, they kept it for a week and it looked great when i picked it up, they fed it for me and everything was perfect. i brought it home (1 1/2 hr drive) in a heated styrofoam container and followed the acclamation procedures to a tee. i woke up this am to find the beauty lying on its side barely breathing. i know from reading past posts here that it is not uncommon to have a new fish go into shock and take some time to recover, but being new to this hobby its really hard not to try something ! i do not have a qt tank yet, the other two fish dont seem to be paying any attention to the beauty as of yet. any suggestions ?

How did you acclimate this fish to the new tank?? And, when you put the fish in the tank yesterday, what was its behavior? Did it eat yesterday?
Check you water perimeters now and see if there are any problems. [BTW: You Specific gravity is a bit low....the tanks at the LFS probably had a higher specific gravity....you might want to call them and see what level they are keeping their tanks at. Specific gravity is the reading you gave for "salinity".]
How long have you had this tank setup?

hi beth !
tank has been running for six weeks, the coral beauty did not eat at all yesterday and was very listless mostly hiding in the rocks. i acclamated it by slowly adding 2/3 ounces of tank water to the bag it came in every 15min. repeating this procedure for 1 1/2 hours and then poured the bag water into a bucket while i netted the fish and put it in the tank. i checked the parameters again. still the same sg 1.021,ph 8.2,amonia/nitrites 0, nitrates 10. the lfs told me they have their sg set at 1.022.....
