Coral Beauty won't eat!

I bought a Coral Beauty on Sunday with some birthday money. It hasn't eaten since I brought it home. I have tried everything...formula 1 flakes, seaweed selects, even squid. She won't touch anything. She is swimming normally and exhibits no signs of illness. What should I do? She was briefly attacked when I let her out of the bag by a blue devil damsel, but I took him back to the store right away so that he couldn't hurt my coral beauty. (My damsel was so mean he attacked the net and was an easy catch). Could the coral beauty be traumatized? Or just not hungry? What other foods should I try?

HAve you tried brine shrimp or mysis shrimp. The mysis are more nutritional then brine but you could try brine to get him started.

As long as you have plenty of alage in the tank your Coral Beuty is fine. I bought one about three weeks ago and the guy at my lfs said that coral buetys rarely take to food that you introduce into the tank. as long as there is tons of alage your coral beuty will feed off that.

Mine eats like a pig. Anything I throw in the tank,he's on it. I believe yours is just a little stressed from the move. Being attacked right off didn't help any either. Give her a couple of days, then start to worry....STEVE

I have had my coral buety for four weeks now and he is finnally taking to introduced foods. I'm sure yours will do the same.
Good luck,

Well, after a week, she started eating like a horse. I honestly believe that I could put food in the tank 12 times a day and she would eat every last piece of it. Unbelievable. I am happy that she is eating...I was worried.
