Coral Beauty

I am thinking of adding one to my Softie/LPS tank. Are they completely reef-safe? I just wanted to be sure before I addend one.

No. mine is nipping at and damaging my hammer coral, bubble coral, leathers and gorgonians. I've been trying to catch him for two weeks now.

They're certainly not "completely" reef safe. I think some do fine in reefs, but they are reputed to nip at coral.

I don't think any angel is completely reef safe, having said that I have one in my SPS tank and it doesn't nip at any of my corals. Sometimes you get lucky.

When it comes to the dwarves, it's hit or miss. Sometimes you get the good ones, and some times you don't.

Of the dwarf angels, they're probably your best bet, but like mentioned every fish is different. Depending on the size of your tank you may want to look into something from the Genicanthus family. It would be extremely rare for one of them to eat coral.
