Coral Color Change

Any "rules of thumb" out there to determine whether a coral changing colors is a good or bad thing? Purchased a green acropora from LFS a week+ agao. Tips and encrusting edges are turning a violet-purple color (absolutely gorgeous). I know this happens in some sps corals, but unsure if good or bad sign.

My understanding is that sps coral will change color depending on lighting...low light they may be brownish....intense lighting may bring out color like you have....sounds like yours may be liking your light!!!I have a few frags that were cream colored at first and are now turning a bright green....and another that was brown...but is now a greenish/red.......hope yours continue to do well.....
