Coral Feeding product

My husband bought "Coralife Invertebrate Smorgasbord" to feed our corals.
The directions state to add 3 drops per gallon.
What it doesn't tell me is if I should turn off the skimmer!
Has anyone used this product? If so, how do you use it?

What is it? is it live phytoplankton? If so not all corals filter feed. the beast thing to do is find out what corals are filter feeders and which are carnivores....you can still use the smorgasbord to feed the micro fauna of the tank...that will indirectly feed corals by providing small organisms food to eat.
