Coral Fleas?

I have a 30 gallon reef tank and it currently has no inhabitants except for a brittle star. I can't believe it but that brittle star actually caught my yellow watchman goby and ate him!
But anyway I have noticed a bunch of tiny white organisms on the glass and live rock. At first I thought they were coral fleas because I just introduced a new leather and star polyp coral. Whatever they are they don't bother the corals though. They are white in color and tend to cluster around algae on the glass. Can anyone help with what they might be? My tank has an eheim power filter, protein skimmer and power compact light. Nitrites, ammonia and nitrates are at 0 and the pH is a little high at 8.6 but doesn't seem to bother anything. I am up for any suggestions on what these things are.
