Will a little lobster mess with corals? Particularly Frogspawn...
Anything else a little lobster would mess up?

How small a fish?
I was talking to a LFS today about one they have that's about 2-3 inches. He said it wouldn't attack coral or clownfish... Just puffer fish.

I call BS on the LFS employee. First off they are very soitary creatures and you will probably not see it much. They are fish eater and opportunistic in that if they can grab it they will eat it. Do some searching on reef lobsters and see what people that have had them have to say.

Hmm.. that's funny.
He was in about a 10-15g aquarium with some "rare harlequin shrimp", and plenty of small fish.
Funny thing was, the lobster was being pinched and attacked by the smaller harlequin shrimp, but he wasn't doing anything about it.

Yeah jsut remember the LFS does not keep livestock for an extended period of time. There business is to move it out through sales. Do some research and see what comes up then make an informed decision based on a lot of knowledge not just the LFS. Then if you decide it is something you want to try you will at least go into it with a full tool kit of information. Keep us updated. They are cool critters.

True..
I think I'm going to get a fire shrimp when the time comes. They seem a bit more [coralfish] friendly all around.
It's pretty cool to watch them clean the fish.
They look kinda similar, and hide just as much as a lobster too!
