I have a bunch of diffirent corals zoos,shrooms,candy cane,frogspawn,hammer,pompom and others. My question is my hammer seems to be not extenting all the way out like it use to. Any ideas why? Tank size is a 55 gallon with 85 pounds of live rock,75 pounds of live sand. Levels are ammo-0 nitrate-0 nitrite-0 phos-0 calacuim 480 temp 78.6 salt 1.026 light 250watt mh with 20k bulb. Hammer is placed about half way up.

Most likely reason...hammers are aggressive, when you first put it in the tank it sent out its "darts" as far as it could reach to fend off any other coral. Now it is satisfied it is safe and retracted a little.
Running carbon in the filter system should help with any chemical warfare that may be going on.

is ur frogspawn growing? they r very similar corals. both like low to medium flow at best.

yes frogspawn is doing great. Both about half way up the only diffrence is one is on one side of tank and one is on the other. I just wouder if the hammer might be getting to much flow do to the fact that there is a power head and the output from the sump not for far it , nethier one is directly hitting but maybe like i said it might be to much flow.
