Coral ID please

I got this at the $15 bin of miscellaneous corals. I think it was a steal. It is about 4" by 2.5" when expanded and flows in the current like a bush in the wind. The color is purple with white tipped polyp tentacles. It is growing out of two hard skeletal stalks. It sucks into the top of the stalk at night (like a green star polyp would, not like a xenia would). I have attached a couple of pictures. I'm pretty sure it is not a xenia, with the hard bone like stalk. The name the LFS gave it began with an A.

Goniopora sp.
Your LFS may have mis-labelled it as Alveopora which is similar but has only 12 tentacles per polyp.

Thanks. It sure appears you are correct. I've seen contradictory instructions on placement and flow. I have it mid-level in the tank with high output T5's in a moderately strong current. Does this sound about right? It seems to be doing ok. It expands quite a bit as soon as the lights come on.
