Coral ID?

Trying to get an ID on this coral i got two days ago...
Looked on the net and couldnt find a match...
LFS had it labeled as "Rasta Finger"
i did searches with no matches.
anyone?

is it hard or soft?
looks like a leather of some type, judging by the second pic. possibly a colt.

well i just had to stick my arm in there. I never touched it when i put it in my tank so i didnt know...
but i touched the polyps and they arent hard... but arent that soft either?
i also touched the base of it and it feels exactly just like my leather toadstool..
i searched the colt corals.. and doesnt really look like them? maybe some similarities?

Rasta leathers are also called Spaghetti leathers.

I was gonna say COLT CORAL..

If that is a Spaghetti those are fat arms or it is partly closed down. Mine all have longer branches that are not so fat.

Looks more like a Colt to me too. Here is a Spaghetti to compare. I call this one my weed.

i used to have a cauliflower colt coral.... similar shapes and all but i dont think its a colt.... i might be wrong though...

I have the exact coral, typically called the Colt Coral, Soft Finger Leather Coral, Seaman's Hands Coral, or Blushing Coral. It is very difficult to identify an exact species because there is so much variation of shape and color within each. Scientifically called...Cladiella sp, here is mine.

perfect dark,
the second picture.. thats EXACTLY what it is..... so mines still closed up???
If so when will it open? it looks pretty big closed up... does it get bigger when open?

No more than a week IMO, you should see signs of it opening soon. Moderate to high lighting, moderate flow. All of the ends of the coral are individual polyps and will open to feed. It will prob double in size when its fully open, and it will sway in the current. I feed my corals once a week, alternating zoo, phyto and cyclops. I turn off all powerheads and use a sea squirt (turkey baster) type spot feeding tool. I spot feed the corals and wait about a minute then I turn on all power heads and pumps again.
