Hey guys/gals i visited a LFS seller today. Large fancy store...anyways i was asking questions about lighting for coral. The guy i was talking too...possibly store manager said that this one light hood..a 96W with a quad 50/50 bulb, would be good enough to sustain any coral i wanted in a 10 gallon...and of course they had models for larger tanks aswell...is he full of it or lack of knowledge? Or completely correct? I mean the store had many tanks with diffrent coral and anenomes on sale with...each of them doining quite well in there lighting..i would guess he would know whats goin on lol. He also said it would be great for any anenome...once again they also had many of those for sale.

Many corals will survive and thrive under 96w, but Clams and SPS prefer the intensity of MH's. While they may survive under PC's, they thrive and show good growth under MH's.
Anemones are difficult for different reasons. They are tempermental. Search for the best anemones to keep and their care.

SPS= small polyped stony corals
Corals with a hard calcium skeleton and smaller size polyps, therefore relying heavily on photosynthesis. Search acropora or SPS on this forum for photo examples.
PC= power compact
The type of bulb in those light fixtures you're considering
