Anyone heard of this type of fish before? Its a type of coral grouper. I've been checking CL for people selling coral, livestock, ect. Someone I contacted had one of these. I tried doing a google search just to see what it was, but didnt pull alot of information. Being that its a grouper, I assumed there was no way in my 75 gallon, but was just interested in them and want to know what others know about them. Thanks!

What google doesnt bring, SWF will! They have it listed in their grouper section. It is actually spelled miniatus grouper. Needs a 150 gallon. Coral safe, not invert safe. Pretty fish, but not the one for me! My brain has been over so slightly expanded with this new knowledge!

it is a VERY fast growing fish. I wanted one so my LFS ordered one in for me to look at,, it was 2.5 inches when they got it in,, I needed to think about it while they quarantined it. So over the month it was in QT it get almost 2 inches,,,, OMG and now at 3 months later and they still have it its right about 6 inches,, im just saying its in a 125 at the LFS and its going to be in their shark tank in the next 3 months if no one buys it (not for the shark to eat) GORGEOUS fish though :)
