Next Issue.

I have a Neon Green Toadstool that used to open up every day. Early December (12/6) it stopped opening up. Eventually I found out that it was "shedding" and once it shed it's skin, it looked a little bigger and opened up again.

2 weeks later it happened again (stopped opening) and once again it developed a film that once it shed it opened up again. The shed occurred on Saturday.

Today (Tuesday), it did not open again.
Is this a problem? Why is this toadstool so unhappy these days?
Please help.

Really? They can shed 2 or 3 times in a month? I mean since the last shed, it had its polyps extended for 1 or 2 days?

Something is irritating it. What kind of flow do you have? What else is in the tank. It shouldn't shed that many times. Mine, and it is huge, sheds maybe once in 2 months. What kind of lighting? Need more info.

Tank is 55g. Lighting is T5 4x54w. The coral is in the right front corner at the bottom. Flow is 2 MaxiJet 1200 with Hydor Flo attachments. One is on the right and pointed to the front and the other is on the left, also pointed to the front. Along the back is the fuge return which is a QuietOne 3000 which returns 600gph.

Lighting and flow seems good. What kind of fish are in the tank. Could they be picking on it.
What about your perameters, maybe something is out of whack. Maybe try to move it to another place and see if it keeps shedding. Shedding that often means something is irritating it.
