i have a green scolymia and a red open brain coral that have both come out of their shell. i have been in the fish industry for over 10 years and have never seen this happen. the scolymia has been out of its shell for about 5 months and is in the sand bed on the bottom of the tank. the red brain is still in his shell but not for long. any ideas to the problem. they are both really healthy and open up really large. my tank is as follows:
75 gallon tru vu acylic tank with built in wet dry filter with bio balls removed. skimmer and 4 rotating zoomed powerheads 80lbs fiji live rock, 4x96 watt powercompacys 48" in black abs canopy. live stock consists of a sailfin tank, swallowtail angel, 2 redfirefish, lawnmower blenny, and 2 perculas. corals are as follows: large colt leather, 2 encrusting gorgonians, purpletang longtentacle anemone, blue maxima clam, hammer, elegance, chili coral, red brain , green scolymia, fox coral, pipe organ, green starpolyps, orange cactus sponge.
any ideas would be great. thanks
