Where do you get your heat packs? And pics also lol?
And where do you buy your stryofoam Boxes or whatever you ship the bags in?

I go to P.E.T.S.M.A.R.T and ask for a few of their bmedium bags. I put about 3 inches of water in the bag, then the coral. Tie it off were well, then put that bag upside down into another bag. Tie that bag very well, and put the 2 bags into one more bag upside down.
i then put bubble wrap on the bottom of a small box, put in the bags, then put about 4 layers of bubble wrap on the sides and the top of the bag. Then put a heat pack on the outside of the top of the bubble wrap if needed.
Has worked really well so far!

I use thermoses, regardless of the time of year. s.crew the lid down tight and cover the seal with a couple layers of electrical tape in case the seal doesn't do the job (Rob, I hope you're reading this
)
Wrap them with newspaper, bubble wrap, any packing material, and place them snug in a styro-lined box (for paranoia prevention / protection). Then I strongly recommend (for the sake of the coral and only the coral) writing out my address on the box, and shipping them as soon as they are packed up.

*I forgot to add on my shipping note: Be sure not to charge the receiver (
)for shipping costs. It's bad karma.

Sorry for the delay.
I typically use 5x10" 2mil bags for shipping small frags. Large frags and colonies that don't fit would get bigger bags of course, but the pictures below are with 5x10 bags. I fill the bag with just enough water to keep the frag submerged but even for tiny frags I add at least a couple inches of water.

Rubberband the bag but leave some slack in the bag. It'll be easier to get the second bag over it if the first one isn't all puffed up. I don't use pure oxygen since I think it's completely unnecessary for shipping corals. IME they'll even do perfectly fine if there's no air in the bag.

Invert the bag and rubberband it again. This will fold the corners of the inside bag in so the frag doesn't have a chance to get stuck in them.

I turn the bag right side up again and slip a third bag over it without rubberbanding it. I just leave it open. If the first two bags pop then the water will at least stay within the third bag. I don't use box liner bags so any water leakage will seep through the cardboard box if I don't use a third bag.

I use corrugated cardboard boxes with styrofoam inserts. They can be bought online at several stores for about $4 each or so. Though I can't name the sites, a google search should turn up some results.
Just assemble the box, arrange the frags, add shipping peanuts to fill any voids between bags, tape a heat pack to the lid if needed, and slap on the shipping label.

SpiderWoman, please do!
GRabbit, is there any reason in particular you use both a thermos and a styro-insulated box?

OK Here we go
Package just opened

Same 2 corals as shown in Viper's response. No leaks, not a single drop of water in the styro package :)

Out of the bag in fresh RO salt
