Coral Stay Put Please

Upon buying my first coral, a fish guy had some green button polyps he was giving to someone else who never came into the store. Thus he gave them to me. SCORE!!!! The problem is these corals are attatched to old astrea and hermit crab shells and are not very stable when set in the tank. The slightest climbing on by my hermit crabs moves things all out of whack.
My question is does anyone know a way to anchor these polyps down so they can establish themselves on my live rock without being disturbed? I had thoughts of tying them to a rock with say, floss, but i just don't know....

Try a 2 part epoxy. You should see it in you lfs. Works fine... it's not sticky... its like putty that hardens over 24 hours and then the stuff is "concreted" into place.
Nice score.
