coral/thing identification?

I have this thing growing in my tank... it's a little bigger than a quarter, and it has tenticles. It looks like a mushroom, but it has a hard skeleton underneath. Any ideas?
I've attached a picture. Hope it makes it.

im not that educated ont corals, but that kinda looks like a plate coral?
but let the other members post here before you take my word on it. :happyfish

yes, it came in on a rock full of daisy corals. My hermit crabs ate the daisy's (blast!) and this thing grew from nothing. It is attached to the rock underneath. I rubbed up against it cleaning the glass one day and it has a hard skeleton, which suprised me. It looks like it has a pink mouth in the center.
