I have a large piece dead coral 2ft by 1ft. It was in a tank that was treated with copper (i think) It was a fish only tank, I have a 265 reef tank I was wondering if it would be ok to use it as base rock. Its been setting in my Q.T. for about a mounth. So what do you all think.

better safe than sorry, no dont use it. I wouldnt. copper can leach back into your tank. if you put it in every time some thing dies you'll always wonder. It will become an uncalculable variable that could potentially be disasterous.
