I have a lot of different zoas and a 2 headed frogspawn. I noticed every now and then a stringy looking substance coming from them. Is this waste for the corals? Is this normal from mix zoa and the frogspawn? Does this mean that they are eating??

if slime is coming off of them, chances are, they are stressed. they aren't touching each other , are they?
what are your water parameters?

No they are not touching.. It looks lke a string of poo coming from the mouth of the zoas cant tell where it is coming from the frogspawn. I thought it was the sweeper tentical of the frogspawn but it just floats away from it. The water parameters are in check but i am having a prob. with the PH it is low 7.9-8.0 Check the thread HELP MY PH IS LOW!!!!! Tell me what you think!!!
Thanks

im not very knowledgeable in the area of saltwater tanks, but that has happened in my tank during a water change, when the water is not moving. i never had any ill effects with it and once i started the filter again, it was filtered out and all was fine and dandy.

I think i figure out the problem with them PH. I check it yesterday morning around 8:00 am and it was at 7.9-8.0 then i tested it to day when i got off work and it was 8.3-8.4, But i did dose it with seachem product Balance not sure if you herd of it but is not suposed to affect your Ca or Alk while ajusting your Ph. Is it normal for it to be low in the moring??
Side note: light are on from 8am to 5pm

PH swings between night and day are common.

Also should i test the water around the sametime? What about testing the water from the same area? Also does the corals producing the poo...does that mean they are happy and growing?

I try to test the water during the middle of the day. I have seen PH swing from 8.2 and 8.4 in my tank on the same day. I pull my water from different areas and I am not sure if it makes a difference. As far as the white string like substance coming from your corals.... I see this as well and my corals are healthy. I believe like stated earlier in the thread that it is stress. When I move corals around I will see it.

It not white it is a dark stringy thing coming from the corals mouth and the frogspawn.
