I have had it running for about 30 minutes and have about 3 gallons of good water. It is on very low pressure but is this normal?

I have the same RO unit. Did you discard the first 10 gallons? How is your well water pressure? if that is low then you will need to get a booster pump.

I haven't discarded it yet but I don't plan on using it. I'm running it off the garden hose faucet so I could get more pressure I just wanted to test it first.

Most RO units need ~40psi of pressure from your cold water line to be efficient.
If you mean pressure on the water coming out, there shouldn't be any.

what is your RO rated per day?? a gallon every 10 minutes is faster then normal I would think

Its 24 gpd. If a gallon every ten minutes is normal then am I looking at 100 minutes to get water for a 10 gallon water change?
Can I set it up so that it fills a 20 gallon container and then stops or do I have to constantly monitor it?

Mine is also a 24 gpd and it takes an hour to get a gal of water. You can buy a automatic shutoff system that involves a float valve, so when your water level gets too high, it will shut off.

that is coming out way too fast, I use the 50gpd, so based on the fact you got 1 gallon in ten minutes, you would get 144 gallons in 24 hours, that would not be correct. Maybe the membrane is damaged, or you just have too much pressure.

I think the problem is the pressure because I have had it running all night and got about 5 gallons.
Where do I get a booster pump and how much does it cost?

You can get a booster pump at most online fish stores. They can vary between 100-200 dollars.

What does all night mean??? 6 hours, then that should be fine for a 24gpd RO...Also, I would not be so quick to go out and get a booster pump. We use a brute trash can with a float valve to store water for top off and for water changes.

All night meaning from about 10pm to 8am. Maybe it is slow... I'll just have to install a float valve in a large trashcan but I'm not sure how to do this.
