I just read a recent post the the skimmer was too big on a 46 g!! I was about to order a coralife in 2 days but if it wont fit on a 46 what is going to happen on a 20g long?!!!!!
I really dont want to spend more than 100 bucks. Anyone ever put a skimmer on a 20?
Tank demensions 12up 12wide 30 long

The coralife is gonna look as big as your tank. I have the aqua c and even though it is more expensive than you want to spend it seems to be the smallest and thinnest as well as best performing. As i said in the other thread i really didnt want to spend $165 on a skimmer either but when you factor in how much we spend on this hobby, whats $75 more to get what makes our tank function and look the best it can?

well im just got my setup 2 weeks ago! right now 75 bucks is 75 bucks! But I guess I dont need the skimmer till after the cycle? But even then is the Aqua c it for me! No other decent options. I know small skimmers dont work well, but there has to be something in my price range@!#!#!

I have a Skilter 250 that is a power filter and a protein skimmer all in one. Cost me 35.00 in a mail order catolog. I have a 20 gal. long that I am cycling right now! Its cheap and works for now, will upgrade later.

I have a css 65 along with a AC110 on the back of a 10 gal and it fits just fine........I do not see any reason one would not fit on a 20........Yea it may look big for the tank itself, but it still will fit.
