Coralife solarsystem MH pendants

I have recently purchased 2 175w MH pendants (used) and am very happy with them. The only thing is I just read something about these being discontinued and the bulbs being "Special" for this system. It is a coralife 7.5pendant, 175w, 10,000k bulb x 2. I dont care if the ballst is discontinued but if any other 175w MH bulbs wont work for replacements I might have a problem. Is anyone familure with this or is it a bunch of BS and any175w MH bulb can work with any 175w MH ballst?

PS - the ballsts have bulit in timers for sunrise/sunset.

Probably BS...you can always replace everything in the fixture...bulb, base and ballast...

I hope so, I dont want to be stuck with some outdated crap that when it goes, theres no way to replace it.....
