hoping to get a coralife ss 125 for use in a sump/refugium. the sump im looking at has a input chamber of about 6 " by 10.5" the coralife SS 125 has a base dimmension of 5" by 7 1/4". the reccomeded input area for this skimmer as appears on another site is 12" by 10".
anyone have one of these and if so what are the dimmensions of the chamber you have it in. are these two compatable or should i look for another skimmer if so which one would be good. this is for a 75 gallon tank and the sump/refugium is 17 gallons.
Any help greatly apreciated.

I really am pretty new to this, but i believe from reading that a 17 gallon refuge on a 75 gallon tank, is generally reported as being way too small...

I have the 55 gal version of the super skmmer and it can be set up as a hang on back. If it does not fit IN your sump you can simply hang it on the sump it the 125 is a simular set-up.

BTW - this is 20% of main tank and I think most will agree is sufficient. Ofcourse the bigger the better as far as refugiums go, but most of us are limited by what fits in the cabinet.

I am curently runing the same skimmer on a 55 with 2 10 gallon tanks a s sumps. The 10 that holds the skimmer also has a mag12 and ebo jager heater(rather large) and i have no probllems with micro bubbles or skimmer eficency. It took a little aranging but it works great. I say go for it.
