I was recently going to start running my protein skimmer tanks been up for up to 8 months now. I went to turn the knob all the way to zero and back to 75 but, never got it to dry skimm. I turned it all the way to "0" and it was overflowing fast.... figuring things out?? I went to go move my output tubing in the bubble production diffuser that is submerged in water and noticed that when I pulled the tube out a little it started to minimize the overflow in the collection cup.. How deep in the water should I have the bubble production diffuser? or did I miss something when I put that part of the skimmer together?

Make sure that your output tube is not bottomed out against the foam in the bottom of the bubble diffuser. You should have like a one inch gap between the end of the output tube and the foam in the bottom of the diffuser. You may be restricting the flow from the output tube too much by having it bottomed out. HTH.
