Coraline algae is dying!

My coraline algae is dying, I think. It's getting spots of lighter purple, almost greyish. Does this mean it is dying off? If so, I assume I should dose the tank with some calcium again. I don't have much in the tank, so I don't really dose it much. Thanx in advance!

Have your water tested for what Kipass says and post the results, this will help tell us what is happening.

Your lighting is fine. Brand new PC bulbs. Plenty of wattage on your size tank. Like I told you when I was up there, you need to put more calcium in the water. However, TEST IT BEFORE, because you don't want to overdose.
Also, it might not only be that. If I am not mistaken, coraline won't spread if the water quality isnt what it should be. You need to have optimal levels: ph, alk, trites, trates, calc, etc.
Oh yeah, check the salinity and specific gravity too. I just had to adjust mine after doing a water change. Which reminds me... thread time.

Coralline Algae bleaching is commonly caused by a sudden increase of lighting, low calcium and low alkilinity. As Kipass has already stated, check your Calcium, Alkilinity and possibly your pH level, and see if those are all where they should be.
