Hi. I haven't been on in some time and thought I would get your in put on coraline algae. Coral Vital made by (Marc Weliss Product) clames to enhances growth of coraline algae. One thing I do know is this. That product did enhances the growth of green and red slime algae in my reef tank some years ago.
Do you belive this product is nothing other then sugar wather?
What products are out there today that really, really, really, works? What do you think of Coral-Vite made by kent? Do you belive its the best product out there?
If so how much do you add to you reef and how many times do you add it a week.
I will be adding your info to a newspaper were I work. Thanks
Terry

All you need to do is have good or high alkalinity and calcium between 400ppm and 450ppm. Just get a good calcium buffer and alkalinity booster. Products like reef advantage and calcium and or kalkawasser. Seachum make good products. Also B ionic has been succesul for most people. Right now I am just using Kent liqued calcium but when I run out of that I will get B ionic. Even with cheap Kent products I have noticed small growth of coraline. A few patches here and there. I also dose Kent Iodine occasionally. Usually It takes a few months to get growth.
