i just set up a nano come check out my diary=P it will be informative. well it all depends if u know how and where to keep ur water but the best thing u can do is a good sized water change every week=P, also whats ur light?
i keep my tank at
1.026
p.h at 8.3
alk is 8-10
calcium is 360-400(i drip kalkwasser and i use part A and B buffers=P)
temp is 77-79
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 0
my tank is like 4 weekz old and i already have purple everywhere its still not that much where its solid purple but its spreading first before it thickens=P

What are you cycleing with? I wouldn't worry about any parameters until your cycle is finished.

k i would bring up the salinity to 1.024-1.026 (i like 1.026) and u need the PH to be around 8.3 but then again ur new with the LR well i never had a problem keeping it there. also u want to pick a day of the week to do a 20 percent water change. i like sunday so i do it every sunday every single week even when i was cycling=P
so far so good trust me once u keep the water at those levels u'll see it growing with ur own eyes, like with me it started from a few specs to circles now as big as a dime and some even started to grow on the glass=P
